Capital Projects Engineer - Civil Engineering

Join the City of Markham as a Capital Projects Engineer, specializing in civil engineering.

Your role will focus on managing municipal infrastructure projects with precision and excellent communication.

Directly reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure and Capital Projects, you will ensure the successful delivery of projects by managing budgets, scopes, and timelines while adhering to all applicable regulations. Your expertise will guide consultant engagements and maintain high standards in project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee various municipal capital works projects

• Prepare detailed project proposals and specifications

• Monitor project progress and initiate corrective actions

• Conduct technical investigations for project improvement

• Provide comprehensive reporting to management

Requirements:

• Licensed P.Eng. in Ontario with a Civil Engineering degree

• Over 4 years of relevant municipal project experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software

• Strong negotiation skills and customer-focused approach

• Valid Class G Ontario driver's license for site access
