BIM Technician in Mechanical Engineering

Support innovative building projects at Stantec as a BIM Technician in Markham, ON. Work closely with engineers on HVAC and plumbing systems, shaping sustainable designs.

In this full-time role with the Mechanical Engineering team, you'll play a crucial part in the design process. You’ll create and maintain BIM models, ensuring compliance with industry standards and enhancing project execution. Collaborating across disciplines will be key to your contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in the design of HVAC and plumbing systems

• Develop project documentation using advanced BIM techniques

• Ensure coordination with other engineering disciplines

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in project models

• Participate in field reviews and project execution

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent

• At least 4 years experience with CAD, BIM, and Navisworks

• High attention to detail in design and calculations

• Interest in construction and mechanical designs

• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
