You will be instrumental in shaping opto-mechanical design projects, bringing optical payloads and precision mechanisms to life. In this role, you will engage in multi-disciplinary partnerships, ensuring that hardware meets the demands of space missions. Your hands-on approach will be crucial in mentoring junior engineers and establishing design standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive mechanical design projects from scope to verification
• Manage full lifecycle of opto-mechanical hardware
• Partner with electrical and software teams for integration
• Design precision mechanisms for optical systems
• Support environmental testing and qualification efforts
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 8+ years of industry experience in hardware delivery
• Expertise in Solid Works and tolerance analysis
• Experience in thermal and optical performance analysis
• Hands-on experience with testing and integration
