Egis Canada seeks a Mechanical Designer responsible for assessing and designing mechanical systems. This in-office role requires close collaboration with diverse teams to implement mechanical designs effectively. Candidates must have a solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety systems, alongside proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct heating and cooling load calculations for HVAC systems

• Size and layout ductwork and piping systems effectively

• Create detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D Revit models

• Collaborate with suppliers for technical data and equipment selection

• Prepare technical reports and project design sketches

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical systems engineering

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Familiarity with Ontario Building Code and National Fire Code

• G class driver’s license required
