Construction Drafting Technologist Position

With 3–7 years of experience in structural steel detailing, this position requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Tekla, alongside a working knowledge of AISC standards. You will work closely with engineers and project managers, ensuring that all documentation contributes to successful bidding and efficient construction execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed logistics drawings for construction operations

• Conduct takeoffs based on models for precise material estimates

• Develop crane plans to maximize operational safety

• Assist estimation teams by reviewing project documentation

• Perform checks on models and coordinate with NYC DOB

Requirements:

• 3–7 years in structural steel detailing preferred

• Skilled in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or equivalent software

• Familiarity with AISC, AWS, and steel fabrication practices

• Ability to read structural and architectural drawings

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
