Position: Starfall Mechanical Design Engineering Role
Shape the future of space travel at SpaceX as a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Starfall project. Engage in creating innovative solutions for high-capacity re-entry vehicles in a collaborative atmosphere.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the detailed design and analysis of vital structures and systems in the Starfall Cargo Vehicle. Utilizing both CAD and FEA software, ensure compliance with demanding performance criteria. You'll interact with leadership, influence design decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver revolutionary aerospace technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design of hardware for the Starfall vehicle

• Conduct FEA and hand calculations for compliance

• Organize and facilitate design review sessions

• Interface with suppliers and production teams effectively

• Oversee the hardware delivery process from design through launch

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field

• At least 1 year of experience in CAD or FEA

• Hands-on experience with fabrication and testing

• Analytical skills for technical challenges

• Ability to obtain necessary security clearance
