As a Geotech Engineer Superintendent, you'll report to the Advanced Exploration Manager and oversee safe planning and construction activities for the Great Bear Advanced Exploration underground mine. Collaborating with various teams, this senior position focuses on ground control, rock mechanics, excavation design, and managing operational risks to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead underground geotechnical engineering for the Great Bear AEX Project
• Design and improve the Ground Control Management Plan
• Develop and maintain underground Ground Support QA/QC Programs
• Review excavation performance and ground support standards
• Provide geotechnical support for underground infrastructure installations
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering fields
• 8-10 years in underground hard rock mining
• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario
• Experience with ground control management
• Familiarity with numerical modeling software
