AECOM  is seeking a  Civil Engineering Graduate - Highway Planning and Design  for our  Transportation  team based in  Markham, Ontario.
This position is for a newly created position with a target start date of January or May 2027.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Working within the Highway Design group on the planning and design of provincial highway facilities
Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications
Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidisciplinary design engineers, technicians, and planners
Working under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assisting with tasks including preparing engineering-related calculations, drawings, and visual aids
Following corporate quality procedures  Must be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Transportation, Highway, or Roadway Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station, Auto Turn, InRoads/Open Roads, and Infra Works
Relevant internship or professional work experience supporting transportation design
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, Microsoft Project, and standard office software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
