Powertrain - Electrical Engineer 1
Location:
Markham, ON (On-Site)
Pay Rate: $46.46- $55.59/ hour
Contract Length: 12 Months
We at Raise are hiring a Powertrain - Electrical Engineer 1 for one of our top clients. After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
Evaluate the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models.
Estimate time and cost to complete projects.
Simulate and test machine/structure/system operation.
Investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products.
Skills:
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
Team player and detail oriented.
Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
Ability to perform details calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction and installation standards and specifications.
Ability to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field.
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's degr ee in engineering required.
0-2 years experience required.
Must-have hard skills
Electrical wiring and harness fabrication: soldering, crimping, building and repair
Test-bench assembly and hardware integration:
Assemble and retrofit benches integrating ECUs, PCBs, instrumentation, fixtures, and other electrical/mechanical components.
Electrical troubleshooting, testing, and validation:
Diagnose bench wiring and hardware faults and verify operational readiness.
