Theatre Technician at Flato

Contribute to the vibrant arts scene as a Theatre Technician at the Flato Markham Theatre. This part-time role involves technical stage work, ensuring high-quality performances for diverse audiences.

In this role, you will report to the Production & Facility Manager and be responsible for hands-on technical work, including lighting, audio, and staging. You will support various events and ensure that all safety regulations and security measures are adhered to while working in a collaborative environment with theatre users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate lighting and audio equipment for productions

• Load in and out stage sets and technical equipment

• Provide technical support during shows

• Maintain health and safety standards

• Ensure theatre security during events

Requirements:

• Diploma in Technical Theatre or equivalent experience

• Minimum six months of live theatre work experience

• Skills in advanced lighting and audio systems

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Flexibility for evening and weekend hours
