Job Description

We’re assisting our client in their search for a VP of Finance. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned financial leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about driving strategic growth and operational excellence. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the full spectrum of financial operations and provide executive-level guidance on financial planning, risk management, and corporate strategy.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership to ensure fiscal health, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of best-in-class systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the organization’s finance and accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, treasury, audit, tax, real estate, and insurance.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial systems to manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and credit controls.
  • Supervise senior finance staff and oversee the finance department.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to inform strategic decisions and ensure financial stability and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as payroll remittances, income tax, and sales tax filings.
  • Collaborate with leadership on long-term financial planning, capital acquisitions, and annual reporting.
  • Develop and oversee internal controls, risk management policies, and compliance procedures.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, lenders, and investment stakeholders.
  • What We're Looking for:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in senior financial leadership roles.
  • Professional designation required: CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA (or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to lead finance departments in mid-to-large-sized organizations.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax strategy, and corporate reporting.
  • Leadership style that fosters collaboration, performance, and accountability.
  • Experience managing capital assets and preparing corporate annual reports.
