Commercial Banking Client Onboarding Specialist

Drive accurate client onboarding for Scotiabank’s Commercial Banking clients in Markham, coordinating information, risk requirements, and account activation.

This Client Service Specialist works across Commercial Banking Distribution to support Relationship Managers and business clients. The position coordinates internal departments, gathers required information, assesses client risk profiles, and helps deliver ongoing day-to-day banking support. Clear expectations and timely follow-through matter.

• Collect accurate client information for onboarding requirements
• Support assessment of client risk profiles and compliance needs
• Coordinate departments activating client accounts promptly
• Resolve service challenges and escalate when required
• Maintain consistent experiences under Scotiabank service standards

• College or university degree, or equivalent experience
• One to three years’ experience in financial services
• Knowledge of Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
• Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook and Teams
