Reporting to the Supervisor, Municipal Law Enforcement, you will act as a Community Ambassador for the City of Markham. The work includes investigating complaints, enforcing parking and sign regulations, and supporting applicable municipal by-laws. You will document findings, prepare evidence briefs, and testify at hearings or court proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to complaints and emergency situations professionally
Explain by-laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
Investigate illegal parking and issue penalty notices
Prepare evidence briefs for hearings and court
Support special enforcement initiatives and traffic control
Requirements:
Law enforcement, municipal by-laws, or investigative studies credential
Experience in parking control or private parking enforcement
Strong client service and interpersonal communication skills
Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector and criminal record checks
