Surgical Systems Technician Operating Room

Support operating room procedures at Oak Valley Health through sterile technique, surgical equipment preparation, and organized supply management. Rotating shifts span days, evenings, and nights.

As a Surgical Systems Technician, you will work closely with the inter-professional team in the Operating Room. Your responsibilities include managing sterile and high-level disinfected supplies, preparing procedure rooms, and assembling specialized equipment. The position requires knowledge of surgical instrumentation, reprocessing equipment, and sterile technique.

• Stock and verify sterile storage supplies, procedure rooms, and anaesthesia carts
• Order and check procedural case carts
• Maintain departmental general supplies and linen
• Prepare procedure rooms between cases and assist with turnover
• Assemble, prepare, and disassemble specialized procedural equipment

• Medical Device Reprocessing program or MDRD certification
• Recent MDRD experience and appropriate five-year recertification
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and reprocessing equipment
• Excellent organization, prioritization, communication, and collaboration skills
• Flexibility for weekday, evening, weekend, holiday, and overnight shifts
