Payroll Manager (Full-time/Perm) – Hybrid ( 4 Days in Office) | $90K – $110K

Position Highlights:

    Payroll Manager (Full time)
  • Reporting to:
    Director of Financial Services
  • Work Model:
    Hybrid (4 days in office)
  • Industry: Healthcare
  • Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of 1 Payroll Analyst & 2 Payroll Associates
  • Provide coaching, technical guidance, and performance oversight
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee payroll audits and ensure compliance with provincial and federal legislation
  • Develop and implement payroll process enhancements
  • Ensure payroll systems align with legislative and regulatory updates
  • Lead T4 and T4A processing, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with auditors
  • Act as a liaison between Payroll, Finance, HR, and external stakeholders
  • Communicate payroll changes and updates to relevant teams
  • Manage payroll-related projects, track progress, and align with financial goals
  • Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of payroll leadership experience
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification (mandatory)
  • Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of federal and provincial payroll legislation
  • Experience with year-end processes & T4 creation
  • Process improvement expertise with a track record of driving efficiency
  • Payroll systems management experience (preferred)
  • Healthcare payroll experience (an asset)
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
