Position: CISO for Healthcare Security Leadership
Join Extendicare as Chief Information Security Officer, leading IT Security strategy in Markham, Ontario. Focus on protecting sensitive healthcare information in a hybrid work setting.

As the CISO, you will report to the Chief Information Officer and be accountable for the delivery of strategic IT Security initiatives essential for the operational integrity of a regulated healthcare organization. Collaborating closely with IT and clinical leaders, you will establish policies, assess risks, and integrate modern cybersecurity measures to ensure patient safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide IT Security program

• Guide stakeholders on risks and incident preparedness

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as PHIPA and PIPEDA

• Conduct cybersecurity assessments to enhance operational security

• Lead the Cybersecurity Incident Response Program

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity leadership

• Proven experience in healthcare environments

• Ability to engage stakeholders in risk discussions

• Solid technical foundation in Microsoft and Amazon solutions

• Familiar with healthcare technology and systems
