Data Steward

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data governance stakeholders to establish and maintain data management standards for the Data Platform.
• Analyze data documentation to identify and define Critical Data Elements.
• Support the creation of data retention, compliance, and security policies.
• Manage data quality issues.
• Assist business users with data inquiries.
• Support data governance initiatives, including evaluating and implementing governance tools.
• Promote data awareness and literacy across the organization.
• Drive continuous improvements in data governance processes, ensuring data security and compliance.
• Facilitate easy access to data.
• Build metadata repositories, business glossaries, and training materials.
• Work with data owners to protect data and define key performance indicators.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 2–4 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or metadata management.
• Proficiency in SQL and data governance tools.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, MDM technology, and process improvement.
• Organized, analytical, and an effective communicator.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Base salary band: $80,000 - $90,000. Additional compensation includes a performance bonus and a retirement plan.
