The Opportunity

In this role, you will manage minor to moderate property claims within our Express Care model, guiding files from first notice of loss through resolution. You will apply sound technical judgment, investigate losses as required, and collaborate with internal partners, independent adjusters, and external experts to ensure fair, timely, and customer‑focused outcomes.

  • Strong working relationships across cross‑functional claims teams, contributing to a collaborative and knowledge‑sharing culture
How You Will Create An Impact

In this role:

  • Apply your working knowledge of property policy wordings to ensure accurate and fair claim decisions
  • Leverage your understanding of reinsurance treaty restrictions to support effective claim handling
  • Assess and manage claim reserves with a clear understanding of exposure and financial impact
  • Interpret building and construction terminology to support accurate loss evaluation
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners, using your network to drive efficient and effective claim resolution
What You Will Bring
  • Post‑secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience handling minor to moderate property claims
  • Completion of, or active pursuit of, the CIP designation, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • High attention to detail to ensure accurate claims documentation, coverage interpretation, and financial exposure assessment
  • Sound judgment, ethics, and discretion, with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Empathy and professionalism when supporting insureds and claimants
  • Strong problem‑solving and negotiation skills
  • Solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet‑based systems
  • A collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
