• The Buyer or Senior Buyer will be procuring the highest quality products, on time, and at the best price available in the market for their aerospace & defense manufacturing operation that makes a variety of electronic and mechanical parts for missiles, rockets, aero structures and UAV’s.
• As part of the supply chain team, this position will work closely and collaboratively with program management, materials management, and production planning, among other internal and external customers.
• 30-40% of the time will be spent on sourcing for new products.

• 2+ years of recent experience as buyer for manufacturing, electronic products, metal products, casting, screws or connectors, or precision tooling
• Experience working with ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics GP - big plus)
• Experience qualifying suppliers and negotiating prices
• Experience getting quotes, creating RFQ's, and creating PO's
• Experience tracking actual purchase part spend versus the quoted price used in the program proposal
  
  Experience utilizing ERP data to develop Request for Quotes to select the best supplier for the project.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder
• BS or BA in anything

• Experience as a buyer for defense or aerospace manufacturing
• Experience with AS9100/ISO/NADCAP standards & certifications
• Certification by Institute of Supply Management (ISM)
