Position: Facilities Maintenance Assistant Role

This role within the Sustainability and Asset Management Department includes hands-on maintenance and repair duties, focusing on plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC. You will manage your own project timelines while directing contractors and collaborating on facility inspections. Ideal candidates will possess a background in mechanical repairs and a commitment to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute facility repairs and maintenance tasks

• Manage operation of power tools and heavy machinery

• Organize schedules and project priorities independently

• Liaise with contractors for resource coordination

• Conduct monthly and annual facility inspections

Requirements:

• Diploma or certification in plumbing, HVAC, or a related field

• 3-5 years professional maintenance experience

• Ability to perform specialized tasks effectively

• Satisfactory driver’s abstract for class ‘G’ license

• First Aid and CPR certification an asset
