Manager Facilities Maintenance

Position: Manager Facilities Maintenance University of Waterloo
Become a key leader in facilities maintenance at the University of Waterloo. This role is crucial for ensuring the performance and safety of our campus buildings through effective maintenance strategies.

Reporting to the Director of Building Maintenance, you will oversee maintenance services and manage supervisors in various trades. Your responsibilities include implementing preventative measures and coordinating internal and external teams around projects while fostering a safe workplace adhering to regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage operations for building maintenance and repair tasks

• Establish service standards and maintenance priorities

• Oversee renovation projects and work coordination

• Lead financial stewardship for maintenance programs

• Promote a strong safety culture among maintenance teams

Requirements:

• 5–7 years in facilities maintenance or construction

• College diploma or equivalent in relevant fields

• Experience in managing maintenance teams

• Knowledge of building infrastructure and regulations

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
