Seasonal Arena Caretaker in Kinistino

Become the vital support for the Kinistino Sports Complex as a Seasonal Arena Caretaker. Manage events, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a safe environment from October 2026 through March 2027.

This role includes overseeing public skating, hockey games, and facility upkeep at the Kinistino Sports Complex. We are hiring one full-time and one part-time caretaker to maintain the ice and manage administrative tasks. You'll handle cleaning, minor repairs, and coordinate schedules while working primarily on weekends and evenings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee facility during games, rentals, and public skating

• Maintain cleanliness of player and spectator areas

• Perform janitorial tasks like sweeping and restocking

• Install, maintain ice, and operate the Zamboni

• Schedule events and communicate with concession lessee

Requirements:

• Class 5 driver’s licence required

• Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check

• Knowledge of ice maintenance is a plus

• First Aid/CPR & AED training is an asset

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
