Arena Caretaker

1 Full time and 1 Part time position opening for October 2026 March 2027

• Oversee the facility during all scheduled events (public skating, hockey games, practices and rentals)
• General caretaking duties: maintain facility cleanliness including dressing rooms, player boxes, penalty boxes and bleachers
• General janitorial duties: sweep, mop, restock supplies, clean and disinfect washrooms and lobby
• Perform minor building repairs and daily maintenance
• Install and maintain arena ice, operate and maintain the Zamboni
• Ensure all entrances and exits are kept clean and safe from debris and snow
• Administrative duties: schedule, book practices, tournaments, games and rentals, provide calendar to concession lessee and keep lessee informed of changes to schedule
• Available mainly weekends and evenings with shift work often required; flexible for daytime and holidays

• Class 5 driver’s licence
• Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Knowledge of ice maintenance (not required but an asset)
• First Aid/CPR & AED training (not required but an asset)
• Strong communication skills and ability to establish good public relations with patrons and board members
• Ability to lift/push/pull objects up to 50 lbs
