Part-Time Custodian Position Available

Support Oak Ridges Hospice as a Part-Time Custodian, dedicated to maintaining a respectful and clean residence for end-of-life care. This role requires physical endurance and a keen eye for detail.

As a custodian, you will be under the direction of the Facilities Coordinator, ensuring that both internal and external areas meet cleanliness standards.

Your role includes cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas while adhering to infection control measures. You will also perform essential outdoor clean-up and maintain an organized supply area, contributing to the overall atmosphere of kindness at the hospice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean resident rooms and high-touch surfaces

• Maintain washrooms and therapeutic spaces

• Empty and transfer garbage and recycling

• Participate in outdoor cleanliness and safety

• Submit maintenance checklists on schedule

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• WHMIS training mandatory

• 3-5 years health care cleaning experience preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Flexibility for part-time shifts
