The YMCA is seeking a Facility Manager to oversee maintenance, cleaning, and contractor services at the Markham Health & Fitness Centre. This hands-on role requires a focus on managing maintenance staff, developing cleaning programs, and ensuring compliance with health standards. As a service-driven leader, you will engage with staff and volunteers to uphold a high standard of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead maintenance and cleaning staff for optimal service delivery

• Manage cleaning and maintenance schedules and budgets

• Supervise and evaluate service contractors for compliance

• Recruit and develop capable housekeeping and maintenance teams

• Maintain health and safety standards following regulations

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience

• RPA Certificate or enrollment in Facility Management program

• Minimum 10 years of related experience in skilled trades

• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance practices

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
