Job Description Summary
The Industrialization Team in Markham is seeking a hands‑on Technician to work closely with Test and Process Engineers, supporting the development and maintenance of both test systems and assembly/process tools to ensure production readiness and operational efficiency. In this role, you will help develop, optimize, and streamline manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI) and existing product lines. You will provide critical support in the assembly, wiring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated test stations, fixtures, and production equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities- Assemble, wire, and maintain automated test stations, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
- Support the debugging, integration, and modification of functional test systems and assembly tools.
- Provide L1/L2 production floor support and cooperate with engineers on complex issue resolution.
- Participate in test equipment, tool, and consumable parts inventory management.
- Support test equipment calibration, parts purchasing, and replenishment.
- Support NPI industrialization activities and production readiness.
- Contribute to Kaizen, cost‑out, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Proven hands‑on experience in electronics assembly, wiring, or manufacturing equipment support.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings.
- Proficiency with soldering and the use of hand/power tools in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with test instruments, NI hardware, Mikro
E, and similar embedded systems.
- Hands‑on, practical, and comfortable on the production floor.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Proactive, reliable, and detail‑oriented.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative team player.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
