We’re looking for a Day Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily operations in our foot orthotic manufacturing facility. You’ll guide a dedicated production team, drive workflow efficiency, and champion continuous improvement. Your leadership will directly influence quality, safety, and productivity across the plant.
What You’ll Do Lead & Develop Your Team- Supervise, coach, and mentor production staff to achieve performance targets
- Run daily huddles to align on priorities, safety, and production goals
- Train and develop team members to support growth and accountability
- Manage day‑to‑day production schedules and task assignments
- Monitor workflow and adjust resources to maintain efficiency
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions quickly
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and improve throughput
- Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Create, update, and enforce SOPs across all teams
- Maintain strict adherence to product quality and regulatory standards
- Partner with Quality Assurance to resolve defects and prevent recurrence
- Uphold a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Monitor and report daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs
- Present performance updates and improvement plans to senior leadership
- Lead initiatives to reduce costs and eliminate bottlenecks
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing (medical devices or orthotics preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process engineering
- A hands‑on leadership style with excellent communication skills
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
- Experience with production planning tools and manufacturing software
- Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, high‑mix production environment
- Exposure to dust, noise, and chemical odors (plastics, adhesives)
- Standing and walking on concrete floors for extended periods
- Required PPE: CSA‑approved footwear, safety glasses, ear plugs, breathing mask, gloves
