Bel Pak is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner for its Thorn mount and Mc Pherson facilities, located in Scarborough and Markham respectively. The Planner will be responsible for developing work plans for maintenance, performing purchasing duties, and preparing, revising, and updating documentation.

The successful candidate will:

• Develop, maintain, and monitor programs and systems such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS);
• Perform purchasing duties, as required, ensuring adherence to purchasing policies and 7/24 requirements for maintenance with required approvals;
• Lead the review of the previous job completion results, other maintenance activities and daily/weekly/monthly meetings. Plans should be adjusted accordingly based upon scheduled work, scheduled work completion and break in work;
• Ensure the revision and updating of maintenance documentation and/or Training occurs as necessary;
• Evaluate job feedback and make recommendations to improve future planned work on equipment;
• Provide and lead the team with the required training for the CMMS;
• Review reports, and specifications trial documentation related to maintenance activities;
• Prepare documentation of comparison of specifications and agreements for Management review and approval;
• Conduct quality assurance data integrity checks on parts and assets and provide feedback;
• Follow all Company health and safety policies and procedures and work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act;
• All other duties as assigned.

Education/Work experience requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Business, Purchasing, Electro‑mechanical Maintenance or Related Courses an asset);
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Maintenance and Planning (food processing or food packaging environment preferred);
• Experience using SAP, or any ERP & MRP systems to track inventory;
• Experience using Nulogy is an asset;
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials movement preferred.
