This metallography role requires candidates with a Grade 12 education and prior laboratory or heat treating experience. You will prepare metallurgical samples, operate various equipment, and conduct thorough evaluations of microstructural characteristics. Additionally, you'd set hardness profiles, complete lab reports, and address production issues to maintain quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare samples using standard metallurgical techniques

• Operate grinding, polishing, and cutting equipment

• Conduct micro and macro evaluations of samples

• Generate hardness profiles based on specifications

• Prepare chemical etchants for evaluations

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma required

• Laboratory or metallography experience preferred

• Computer skills for production tasks

• Ability to read production prints

• Training capability for other operators
