Compensation: $18.20/hour plus applicable shift premium, and up to 3% bonus capped at 150%Shift: Sunday Night to Friday Morning 10:30pm to 6:30am Job Summary
The Lamination Operator lays up and processes the binding of a collated sheet made up of 4 to 5 layers of material. He or she reports daily totals to the Senior Lead Hand, and performs daily audit functions on work in progress.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate Lamination Machine as required
Change Lamination Machine to load various Lamination programs and recipes as required
Responsible for checking production orders prior to the start of every shift for job requirements
Produce sheets with proper Lamination finish as per job orders
Report any defected sheets caused by Laminator to Senior Leadhand Card Finishing
Update Lamination Log to record recipe, time in, time out and measurement of sheet for every load laid up at Lamination Machine
Clean Lamination plates throughout shift
Follow quality checks and procedures set by Management and Quality Control Department
Follow daily schedule and productivity standards set for Lamination equipment by Senior Leadhand is mandatory
Train new hires as required
Organize, clean workstation and machine after each shift
Complete all daily paperwork and audit control sheets daily
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience and Educational RequirementsWork Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as an asset as a Machine Operator is preferred
Skills and
Competencies:
- Basic computer knowledge is an asset
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Must be organized and a good multi-tasker
Education:
- High school diploma is preferred
- Must be required to work on a rotating shift. (Days/Afternoons/Evenings)
- Overtime and weekend work at times may be required
- Safety shoes/boots are mandatory on the Production/Manufacturing floor
Ability to work standing on both feet 100% of the time while operating machinery
Ability to lift 10 - 50 lbs from the floor, up to waist level, frequently
Ability to lift 150 lbs with a second Operator.
Ability to frequently bend, lift, walk, crouch and kneel.
Requires keen eyesight and alertness to detail.
May be required to work long periods of time at the computer screen
