Our client is an established manufacturer specializing in precision metal stamping, tooling, and engineered manufacturing solutions. They support demanding production environments where tooling reliability, quality, and uptime are critical. This is an opportunity for an experienced Tool & Die professional to join a skilled manufacturing team and take ownership of die maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and production support.

We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to support a busy manufacturing and stamping operation. This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and improving production tooling while ensuring dies are ready to meet production schedules.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong stamping die experience who enjoys troubleshooting problems and keeping production equipment running efficiently.

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on stamping dies and production tooling.
• Troubleshoot and repair tooling issues to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect repaired or machined tooling to verify dimensions, clearances, and alignment.
• Manufacture replacement parts and components as needed.
• Fit, assemble, modify, and test tooling.
• Support die setup, first-time tryouts, and production trials.
• Operate common toolroom equipment and hand tools.
• Diagnose emergency tooling problems and complete repairs quickly.
• Maintain tooling and spare-parts inventories.
• Document completed maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure dies and tooling are production-ready according to schedule.
• Support 5S, quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of tooling maintenance or Tool & Die experience.
• Previous experience with metal stamping and stamping dies strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate toolroom machinery and use precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and die-repair abilities.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
• Understanding of machining, tolerances, clearances, and tooling fit.
• Ability to work independently and respond quickly to production issues.
• Strong safety and quality mindset.
• Ability to perform physical manufacturing work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Licensed Tool & Die Maker / 430A / Red Seal certification.
• Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience.
• Welding experience.
• Experience with manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and related toolroom equipment.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 manufacturing environments.
