Operate Makino wire EDM machines in automotive tooling, using setup, programming, and metalworking skills. This position offers a stated wage range of $23.00 to $27.00.
The Wire EDM Operator supports an industry leader in automotive metal stampings and assembly. The company provides progressive and tandem dies, including deep draw, aluminum, UHSS, and complex stamping dies. Responsibilities include burning tool steel and die components, maintaining equipment, and troubleshooting software.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up Makino wire EDM machines
- Program and operate wire EDM equipment
- Wire burn tool steel and die components
- Perform routine EDM equipment maintenance
- Troubleshoot EDM equipment and software
- Minimum three years in the Tool and Die industry
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
- Effective interpersonal skills and team mentality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills
