In this role, you will collaborate with the Registered Nurse on implementing policies and initiatives. You will facilitate communication with physicians regarding resident status, ensuring they receive the necessary care. Guiding Personal Support Workers and attending shift reports are integral to maintaining care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement unit policies in collaboration with Registered Nurse
• Communicate important changes to physicians promptly
• Meet residents’ care needs effectively with the healthcare team
• Lead and direct Personal Support Workers in care
• Conduct shift reports for effective team updates
Requirements:
• Solid background in long-term or rehabilitation nursing
• Familiarity with health acts and nursing standards
• Valid Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses
• Understanding of nursing home operations
• Maintain membership in good standing at the College
