The Registered Practical Nurse at Age Care Woodhaven is responsible for providing nursing care compliant with established protocols. Collaborating with the Registered Nurse is key, as you will guide Personal Support Workers and liaise with healthcare professionals. Your expertise in geriatric care will ensure that residents receive optimum support and quality treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on policy implementation in the unit
• Notify physicians of any significant health changes
• Ensure effective communication within the healthcare team
• Direct the care provided by Personal Support Workers
• Engage in shift report and updates on resident care
Requirements:
• Background in geriatric and long-term care
• Current certification from College of Nurses of Ontario
• Understanding of relevant nursing laws and regulations
• Good standing with professional nursing body
• Experience with rehabilitation nursing processes
