At Age Care Woodhaven, the Registered Practical Nurse plays a critical role in delivering professional care to residents. You will collaborate with a Registered Nurse, implement nursing procedures, and guide Personal Support Workers. This position requires a solid understanding of geriatric nursing and relevant health care regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement Age Care policies and collaborate on care plans
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare team members
• Direct Personal Support Workers regarding care needs
• Report on residents' status during shift changes
• Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations
Requirements:
• Knowledge in geriatric and long-term care nursing
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses
• Familiarity with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act
• Experience in a nursing home or similar setting
• Commitment to resident-focused care
