Join Age Care Woodhaven as a Registered Practical Nurse offering exceptional care to residents in Markham, Ontario. Collaborate with the health care team and support Personal Support Workers in a casual role.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be essential in delivering professional nursing care while adhering to Age Care's policies.
Your role will involve liaising with physicians and participating in shift reports to ensure comprehensive care. Utilize your expertise in geriatric or long-term care to support residents effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement Age Care policies and procedures for nursing practice
• Liaise with health care team and external partners
• Ensure residents’ care needs are met by collaborating with the team
• Direct Personal Support Workers on care delivery
• Participate in shift reports for resident status updates
Requirements:
• Knowledge in geriatric or long-term care nursing
• Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Understanding of relevant health care regulations
• Membership in good standing with the College of Nurses
• Familiarity with long-term care legislation and standards
