Make a difference as a Registered Practical Nurse at Age Care, where providing compassionate care to seniors is our foremost priority in a long-term care environment.
As a key member of the nursing team, you will deliver professional nursing care and guide Personal Support Workers effectively. Collaborating closely with both the Registered Nurse and health care professionals, you will ensure every resident's care needs are met. Your responsibilities also include timely communication regarding any changes in residents’ conditions to physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care based on individual resident needs
• Supervise and train Personal Support Workers
• Liaise with health professionals about resident health
• Conduct thorough shift reports for care continuity
• Adhere to regulatory standards in nursing practice
Requirements:
• Strong foundation in geriatric nursing or long-term care
• Knowledge of relevant health care laws and acts
• Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Commitment to treating residents with compassion and respect
• Collaborative skills in a team environment
