Schedule

Patient care

You will practice in an environment where the emphasis is on professional practice and customer satisfaction. Using your clinical expertise, you will, in collaboration with the interprofessional team, be responsible for comprehensive assessment, care planning, patient education and discharge planning to support the continuity of care throughout the patient’s stay on Acute Medicine/Cardiology Unit.  Created with Sketch.

Goals

In addition, you will utilize your demonstrated clinical leadership skills, well developed analytical, problem solving, delegation and interpersonal skills to assist you in the provision of quality patient care. You will be accountable for the development of comprehensive patient care plans and patient education plans, which reflect your ongoing assessment focusing on the patient’s goals.  Created with Sketch.

Support

You will play a critical role in the coordination and development of interprofessional plans of care, which reflect patient needs. Your excellent clinical leadership skills will assist you in working with the interprofessional team in the further development of programs to enhance and support patient care.

Qualifications

Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses in good standing. Current BCLS certification required. Completion of an accredited college Coronary Care 1 program or proof of demonstrated current enrollment or equivalent required. In the absence of the Coronary Care 1 certificate upon time of hire must complete Coronary Care 1 within 3 months of hire. RNAO membership is preferred.

Proficiency

Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in medicine with an emphasis on cardiology (within the last 5 years) or international experience in critical care preferred. Excellent physical assessment skills. Proficient computer skills.  Created with Sketch.
