As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will engage with a diverse patient population and conduct psychiatric assessments. The position emphasizes patient and family-centered care while participating in initiatives to improve treatment quality. You will be encouraged to use your excellent critical thinking and communication skills to ensure a therapeutic experience for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychiatric assessments for individuals in the unit
• Participate in varied treatment modalities for patient care
• Collaborate within an interprofessional team effectively
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Support patient counseling and engagement during treatment
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute psychiatric nursing experience
• Certification in Medication Administration and Physical Assessment
• Knowledge of Mental Health Act and Personal Health Information Protection Act
• Commitment to a patient-centered care environment
