Registered Practical Nurse; Part Time Mixed Shifts

Position Summary

Registered Practical Nurse (Unit Nurse) responsible for providing high‑quality nursing service in compliance with the College of Nurses (CNO) standards, while supervising unit staff, coordinating resident care with the interdisciplinary team, and communicating with families.

• Day‑to‑day supervision of unit nursing staff.
• Coordination of resident care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Communications with residents' families regarding care plans and progress.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable nursing standards and policies.
• Participation in shift hand‑overs and care continuity discussions.
• Documentation of care activities and patient status.

• Registered Practical Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Experience in nursing (preferred).
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Strong initiative, problem‑solving and judgment skills.
• Superb customer service skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Successful completion of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen.
• Ability to converse in Chinese (asset).

Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending. Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact. Shift work, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

• Salary range: $28.95 – $32.06 per hour.
