In this position, you will offer direct patient care and consultations while sharing your expertise with the healthcare team s role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to develop long-term therapeutic relationships. You will also have access to superb training programs and flexible scheduling, including every other weekend off.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct care for wound, ostomy, and continence patients
• Educate patients, families, and team members on care practices
• Offer consultations and support to nursing colleagues
• Engage in clinical leadership opportunities
• Serve as a preceptor for new Para Med nurses
Requirements:
• Nurse Specialized in Wound Ostomy & Continence (NSWOC)
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a community setting
• Current registration with Nurses Specialized in Wound Ostomy & Continence Canada preferred
• International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC) considered
• Certification from Canadian Nurses Association (WOCC(C)) is an asset
