Emergency Registered Practical Nurse

Position: Emergency Registered Practical Nurse Role
Deliver patient-centered care in the emergency department as a Registered Practical Nurse with Oak Valley Health. Collaborate closely with physicians and utilize your clinical skills for effective patient education and care.

In this role, you will assist in the assessment and treatment of lower-acuity patients while documenting care in the electronic health record. Your work will focus on enhancing patient satisfaction through education, minor procedures, and effective communication within the interprofessional team. This position requires flexibility with an 8- and 12-hour shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with patient assessments and documentation

• Provide patient education and perform suture removals

• Administer Td immunizations as applicable

• Maintain accurate clinical records and team communication

• Document care efficiently in electronic health records

Requirements:

• Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses

• Recent experience in an emergency department

• BLS certification required

• Completion of Coronary Care 1 program preferred

• Excellent physical assessment and communication skills
