Registered Nurse (Unit Nurse) – Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care
Perform the functions of Registered Nurse in compliance with the standards of practice for Registered Nurse developed by the College of Nurses (CNO) and provide high quality nursing service that reflects the organization's resident‑centred approach, vision and policies. As a Unit Nurse, the RN is responsible for day‑to‑day supervision of staff in the unit and coordination of resident care with interdisciplinary team members as well as communications with families.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate day‑to‑day nursing staff and resident care in unit.
- Coordinate resident care with interdisciplinary team members.
- Communicate with families regarding resident care and status.
- Registered Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Experience in nursing and staff supervision an asset.
- Current CPR Certificate.
- Good leadership skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, problem solving and judgement skills.
- Superb customer service skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen result.
- Ability to converse in Chinese an asset.
Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending. Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact. Shift work, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
CompensationSalary Range: $35.39–$50.85 hourly.
