Registered Practical Nurse; Part Time Mixed Shift

Position

Registered Practical Nurse (Unit Nurse) at Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care.

Performs the functions of a Registered Practical Nurse in compliance with the standards of practice set by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and provides high‑quality nursing service that reflects the organization's resident‑centred approach, vision, and policies.

• Perform the functions of a Registered Practical Nurse according to CNO standards.
• Supervise day‑to‑day nursing staff within the unit.
• Coordinate resident care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate resident care information to families.

• Registered Practical Nurse with a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Good leadership and supervisory skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem‑solving, and judgement skills.
• Superb customer service skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to converse in Chinese is an asset.
• Satisfactory police vulnerable‑sector screen.

Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending. Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact. Shift work, including days, evenings, nights and weekends. The work environment is a residential care setting.

Salary range: $28.95 – $32.06 per hour. Shift work includes days, evenings, nights and weekends.
