Director of Senior Care Leadership

Extendicare is hiring a Director of Care to lead healthcare teams in Ontario, Alberta, and Manitoba. This role focuses on enhancing resident care quality through effective leadership and operational management.
In this full-time position, you will manage care staff, ensure compliance with health regulations, and address resident needs while promoting quality improvement initiatives. Your leadership will play a crucial role in shaping the future of senior care across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a supportive care team environment

• Ensure ongoing education and staff development

• Administer financial management for the nursing department

• Handle resident concerns and clinical risks promptly

• Oversee assessments and individualized care plans
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing;
Master’s is preferred

• Registered Nurse registration with provincial body

• At least 5 years of nursing experience; 2 in leadership

• Familiarity with long-term care best practices

• Ability to implement quality improvement initiatives
