As a Registered Practical Nurse at Cogir, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care, adhering to provincial standards. The position involves relationship building with residents and families, effective communication, and continuous improvement of care plans. You will also mentor unregulated care providers, enhancing the overall care experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide planned, patient-oriented nursing care daily
• Implement and evaluate care plans for effectiveness
• Ensure clinical care assessments and documentation accuracy
• Teach and mentor unregulated care providers
• Foster trusted relationships with residents and families
Requirements:
• Current registration as a Practical Nurse
• Experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Certification in Basic Life Support and First Aid
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain
