Provide patient-centred maternal and newborn care at Oak Valley Health as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Childbirth and Children’s Centre.
This Registered Practical Nurse assignment supports mothers and newborns in Antepartum and Postpartum. The role requires maternal-child experience, neonatal resuscitation, fetal health surveillance, and BLS certification. You will contribute to patient and family centred decision-making within an interprofessional care team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide care for mothers and newborns in Antepartum and Postpartum
- Support patient and family centred care practices
- Contribute to patient-centred decision-making processes
- Work effectively within interprofessional teams and independently
- Complete mandatory education and relevant professional development
- Current College of Nurses registration certificate
- Minimum one year of maternal-child experience
- Current neonatal resuscitation and BLS certifications
- Current Fetal Health Surveillance certification
- Medication Administration certification and breastfeeding course completion
