Position: Field Laborer for Archaeological Projects
Join Stantec's Archaeology team as a Field Laborer in Hamilton, Ontario for the 2026 season. Engage in challenging outdoor work while contributing to significant archaeological discoveries across the region.

This seasonal position offers hands-on experience in archaeological fieldwork under licensed archaeologists. Candidates will perform various tasks, including surveys, excavations, and artifact handling. Opportunities to develop relationships with Indigenous communities are integral to the role. Adaptability is key, as work conditions may vary significantly, requiring travel and potential overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting archaeological tests and surveys

• Participate in excavation and documentation of sites

• Collect artifacts and maintain accurate records

• Collaborate with project managers and archaeologists

• Adhere to Stantec's safety and environmental policies

Requirements:

• Previous outdoor labor experience essential

• Must possess a valid G driver’s license

• Willingness to travel within Ontario

• Strong team player with a proactive mindset
