Join Stantec in Hamilton, Ontario as a Field Supervisor in archaeology for the 2026 season. Lead teams, conduct assessments, and protect Ontario's archaeological heritage.
Stantec is looking for an Archaeology Field Supervisor to begin work in March 2026, managing field technicians and overseeing archaeological endeavors in the Hamilton/Stoney Creek area.
Your role will encompass supervising assessments, applying MCM standards, and engaging with Indigenous communities to foster respectful collaborations. Lead the next generation of archaeological efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise archaeological fieldwork across diverse sites
• Ensure compliance with MCM's standards and guidelines
• Conduct quality control on all fieldwork processes
• Train teams in advanced archaeological techniques
• Maintain detailed reports and documentation of findings
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in archaeology or related field
• Minimum one year field experience as Archaeology Supervisor
• Good standing Research Licence with MCM
• Proficient with ArcGIS and surveying tools
• Willingness to travel and perform physical tasks
