Position: Hamilton Field Laborers for Archaeological Work
Support archaeological projects as a Field Laborer with Stantec in Hamilton, ON, during the 2026 season. Engage directly with excavation, site surveys, and artifact collection while prioritizing safety.

In this seasonal role, you will assist licensed archaeologists in conducting fieldwork essential for cultural resource management. Expect physically demanding tasks, including outdoor work in potentially inclement weather, travel within Ontario, and collaboration with Indigenous communities. Your contributions will help ensure high-quality outcomes for archaeological projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct archaeological fieldwork including surveys

• Assist in excavation and artifact collection efforts

• Document findings and maintain accurate records

• Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines

• Work collaboratively with Indigenous partners

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in outdoor labor jobs

• Willingness to travel and work outside Hamilton

• A full G driver’s license preferred but not required

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams

• Eagerness to acquire new field skills and knowledge
